Stand With Bennett

The Western North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church celebrates with President Dawkins and Bennett College in raising $8.2 million, far exceeding their fundraising goal, with the hopes of restoring their Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission (SACS) Accreditation. We are proud to be the home of Bennett College, both geographically and spiritually. We also celebrate the generosity and recognition of our connectional nature enlivened by High Point University’s generous gift. We anticipate this will be beneficial to both of these great United Methodist institutions of higher learning. The Church is appreciative of President Qubein, the faculty and staff of High Point University for acting on a moral imperative to move alongside one of only two all-women historically black colleges in the country.
