Remembering Robert McMichael III

Robert H. McMichael III was the worship leader at the Western North Carolina Annual Conference in June 2017.  He was scheduled to return for the 2018 Conference at Lake Junaluska.

We were saddened to learn of his death on Monday, February 19, 2018.

He was a celebrated musician and worship leader across the United Methodist connection and lead worship in a number of conference gatherings over the years.

He served in numerous capacities in churches throughout the Atlanta area. As organist, he served at the Mallelieu United Methodist Church, East Point, GA, (now East Point First Mallelieu UMC) and at the Hoosier Memorial United Methodist Church, his home church.

He served the Cascade United Methodist Church as Director of the Women's Chorus and Praise and Worship Leader. He also served the Historic Central Ministries United Methodist Church where he served as Minister of Music, Worship and the Arts. He served the Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church in Marietta as Worship Leader/Ministerial Assistant.

As a preacher/teacher, Robert has preached many revivals and special worship services. He has led many Bible studies both at Mt. Bethel and in the community.

Please join us in prayer for his family, friends and colleagues..
