ALL IN- August 17-19 in Atlanta

What happens when you bring children’s ministers together for a 2-day intensive event?
We go ALL IN!
Discipleship Ministries of The UMC’s first
ALL IN: A Children’s Faith Formation Intensive
event will be held
August 17-19, 2017
Peachtree Road United Methodist Church in Atlanta, GA.
We will be working side-by-side with the School of Congregational Development
to create an opportunity for church leaders to travel together for a unique ministry experience.
ALL IN! is not your ordinary conference. It is specifically designed for people working in local church and extension (camp/retreat) ministries.
Children’s ministers will spend 12+ intensive hours in small groups learning from a team of academics, experts, and practitioners to…
CREATE a plan for having courageous conversations with children, parents, and church leadership;
DEVELOP practices of pastoral care of children in our congregations and our communities;
IDENTIFY intentional ways of including children’s faith formation in the disciple-making system of the local church; and
RECONNECT with personal spiritual practices.
There are no break-outs or workshops.
We are ALL IN this together!
Registration is $178 and is limited to the first 75 registrants.
Attendees are responsible for their own housing, transportation, and meals.
Are you ready to go ALL IN? We’ll see you in Atlanta in August!

The Appalachian District Church Vitality Team has been prayerfully seeking ways to help support you and the ministries of your local congregation during this COVID-19 pandemic. Together they have diligently researched and connected with others throughout the conference and our denomination to identify resources and offer them to you. We hope they will be helpful to you and bless you greatly in leading your churches and communities through this unprecedented time. We are very grateful to the District Vitality Team and other contributors for their great work on this resource.
This faithful team has created three documents, two of which you are receiving today. They include:

  • Family Home Worship – designed to help families establish a regular worship space within their homes as well as a time where they can worship together.
  • Tech Strategies – to help guide you in selecting effective tools and resources within your budget to best communicate in the digital world.

We believe these resources will be of great benefit to you. Also know that the District Vitality Team is available to answer any questions you might have in regards to the documents attached. If you have questions, you may email Rev. Howard Fleming at
