AC2020 Offering purchases oxygen for COVID-19 patients in Haiti

Thanks to your generous giving through the 2020 Annual Conference Offering, New Hope Hospital in Northern Haiti now has ten much-needed oxygen tanks to care for COVID-19 patients in respiratory distress. What a wonderful demonstration of the bountiful love of Christ and care for those most in need.

Read a thank you letter from Partners 4 New Hope, Inc. below and learn more about the Northern Haiti Mission Connection here.

Dear Church:

On behalf of Partners 4 New Hope, Inc. and the ministries of Norther Haiti, we thank you for your generous donation of $4956.75 from the 2020 Annual Conference Offering. These funds made it possible to provide ten much needed oxygen tanks for New Hope Hospital in Northern Haiti; which serves over 250,000 people in the region. These oxygen tanks are essential as Haiti continues to fight COVID-19. We were also able to make a generous donation to The Northern Haiti Endowment housed with the UM Foundation of WNC. These funds will help ensure the sustainability of this ministry for generations to come.

We are so grateful to have received theses funds from the Annual Conference giving and it is our extreme honor to be in ministry partnership for this life-changing mission.

With much appreciation for this gift and all of those who donated to the ministries of the WNCCUMC.

The Appalachian District Church Vitality Team has been prayerfully seeking ways to help support you and the ministries of your local congregation during this COVID-19 pandemic. Together they have diligently researched and connected with others throughout the conference and our denomination to identify resources and offer them to you. We hope they will be helpful to you and bless you greatly in leading your churches and communities through this unprecedented time. We are very grateful to the District Vitality Team and other contributors for their great work on this resource.
This faithful team has created three documents, two of which you are receiving today. They include:

  • Family Home Worship – designed to help families establish a regular worship space within their homes as well as a time where they can worship together.
  • Tech Strategies – to help guide you in selecting effective tools and resources within your budget to best communicate in the digital world.

We believe these resources will be of great benefit to you. Also know that the District Vitality Team is available to answer any questions you might have in regards to the documents attached. If you have questions, you may email Rev. Howard Fleming at
