Youth Groups Invited to Lake Junaluska for Unforgettable Summer Retreats

 

Lake_Junaluska_Logo_WebLAKE JUNALUSKA, N.C. – This summer Lake Junaluska is hosting four youth group retreats for sixth through 12th graders. Youth groups of all denominations are invited to attend. The retreats include high energy worship, guest preachers, mission components and special meals. Afternoons are free for groups to plan rafting trips, zip line adventures, hikes, additional service projects or enjoy the swimming pool or boats at Lake Junaluska. Lake Junaluska Summer Youth Event speakers and worship bands include:
  • June 24-26: 2-night event featuring Kevin Wright and Jimmy Atkins
  • July 7-10: 3-night event featuring Steve Cheyney and Abbye West-Pates
  • June 10-14: 4-night event featuring Andy Lambert and Abbye West-Pates
  • July 14-17: 3-night event featuring Duffy Robbins and Abbye West-Pates
This year’s theme is “Overwhelmed with Joy”, based on Matthew 2:10—“When they saw the star that had stopped, they were overwhelmed with joy.” The retreats will focus on giving, service, encountering Christ and celebrating the joy of Jesus. In an on-site mission project, participants will package Christmas Shoeboxes for youth in Armenia through Project Agape Armenia. Registration is now open. Packages include dinner on the first night through breakfast on the last day, housing, and program. Two, three and four-night packages are available, starting from $170/person.   • Tech Strategies – to help guide you in selecting effective tools and resources within your budget to best communicate in the digital world.
