Heritage Preservation Workshop: Back to the Basics
November 8 – 9, 2019 

The Heritage Center @ Lake Junaluska, NC

For archivists, historians, secretaries… and anyone interested and concerned about  United Methodist History.

Workshop Schedule
Friday, November 8
2:00-5:00              Hotel check-in and workshop registration – Bethea Welcome Center
5:30-7:00              Dinner – Terrace Hotel
7:00                       Opening Session – World Methodist Museum, 575 N. Lakeshore Dr.
Saturday, November 9
7:30-8:30              Breakfast – Terrace Hotel
9:00-12:00            Workshop session 2 – SEJ Heritage Center, Foundation for Evangelism, 125 N. Lakeshore Dr.
12:00-1:30            Catered lunch, included in the cost of registration
1:30-4:00              Workshop session 3       
4:00-5:00              Sharing Session
5:30                      Dinner – Terrace Hotel
Saturday sessions will cover the basics of:
  • Organizing and maintaining church archives
  • Records management (what to keep, what to toss)
  • Writing a church history
