Eating Together Faithfully Training Retreat Nov. 15-17

We've found that something holy happens around the table together. Community is nourished. Relationships are built. Conversations are rich. God is present. A vision for transformation is planted.

Eating Together Faithfully Training Retreat
November 15-17
Camp Chestnut Ridge
Efland, NC

We are planning a rich and meaningful time to learn from each other while gathering around the table for conversation, good food, and worship. Make new friends and build community as you prepare to lead your congregation or community into an ETF Community of Practice.

Participants will experience and explore the ETF program together and be equipped to begin to lead ETF small groups in their congregations and communities and to build ETF Communities of Practice in their locale.

Due to generous funding from The Duke Endowment, we are able to offer this training retreat at a discounted price: $300/one person or $400/two people from the same church/organization. Life Around the Table is committed to working with congregations to secure scholarship funding if needed. We have already established some scholarship funding and connections. We want to include everyone at the table!

Eating Together Faithfully provides the framework for conversation for congregations who are interested in exploring how food, creation and spirituality may lead to deeper discipleship and vital ministries in their communities. Through eight conversations, small groups explore the theological and practical implications of food that LAUGHS (Local, Affordable, Uncomplicated, Good, Healthy, Seasonal) for their lives, their communities, and our world. Over simple meals together around the table and through guided study, participants discover what it means to eat with God’s intentions for all creation in mind.
