Lake Junaluska Summer Youth Events

Lake Junaluska Summer Youth Events draw diverse youth groups from multiple states. The events are large enough to be lively and exciting, while never so big that youth feel lost or anonymous. Our prayer is that each participant feels seen and known by Lake Junaluska’s youth ministry staff, small group and workshop leaders, other youth and most importantly by God. The program is geared toward 6th through 12th graders.

This summer's theme is Kairos. Kairos is an opportune moment in your life where you recognize the ways God is calling you to live, be or become. It’s a moment where you fully give yourself to be shaped by God so that through you God can shape the world. Step into “God’s time” this summer and let's seize our moments of opportunity.

Learn more about specific dates, accommodations, speakers, registration, etc. on the Lake Junaluska website.

Special Rate for Annual Conference!

Will there be youth from your church attending Annual Conference? If they aren't voting delegates and are looking for some fun to get into, Lake Junaluska is offering a special rate for the Lake Junaluska Summer Youth Event that is taking place at the same time!

The speaker that weekend is Juan Huertas, pastor of Grace Community UMC in Shreveport, Louisiana and the worship leader is Abbye West Pates.

If you know of youth who are traveling to Lake J with their families for Annual Conference and would like to participate in this event, they can get a special rate of $100 per person (does not include housing or meals). They need to fill out this special registration form and submit it via fax to 828-452-2225 or email

To clarify: this special rate is only for individual youth who want to attend. If you want to take a group from your church, sign up using the regular registration on the website.
