EATING TOGETHER FAITHFULLY TRAINING RETREAT
APRIL 26-28, 2019
Kanuga Retreat Center, Hendersonville, NC
Dear Colleagues in Ministry (District Superintendents, Church Vitality Strategists, and District Office Administrators),
You may have received this information from The Duke Endowment, but I wanted to personally invite you to share this wonderful opportunity with churches in your district who may be interested. My experience with the 8-week Eating Together Faithfully small group resource has been life-changing for me and for many who have participated. It truly impacts everything about our lives, and I commend it to you as a resource for following Jesus, Making Disciples, and Transforming the World! I would welcome the opportunity to share more and answer any questions you may have. (Thanks to those of you who have already reached out to learn more!) Here's the invitation:
Life Around the Table seeks to nourish community around the table. We would love to introduce you to Eating Together Faithfully (ETF) which is a framework for conversation, a conversation which will continue as individuals and congregations discover how God may be calling them to new practices of discipleship through food, faith, and table.

We are so excited to share this small group resource with more congregations and communities in 2019! We look forward to working with a new “crop” of congregations to grow Eating Together Faithfully Communities of Practice together. We are in the process of selecting the next twenty ETF Communities of Practice, and would like to invite your congregation to apply.

The cost for the initial training to become a new ETF Community of Practice is $500 (scholarships available) which includes:
  • Three-day training retreat (second participant may attend for the cost of lodging and meals)
  • Leader Handbook and Planning Kit
  • Unlimited use of Eating Together Faithfully: A Framework for Conversation
  • Access to online resources and connection to a network of other ETF Communities of Practice
We are working with partners to publish the Student Books in an affordable journal format, with free access to the full curriculum, downloadable on-line.

We would love for you to accept the invitation to join us around the table! Please see additional information and the application here:
